n. [Gr. hemisys, half; L. zona, girdle]
(NEMATODA: Secernentea)
A nerve commissure from the nerve ring that is highly refractive at the point it joins the ventral nerve cord near the excretory pore; see cephalids, hemizonion, caudalid.
